Consisting of Bert Pegg, Scott Zastoupil, and Kevin Nettleingham, fuse epitomizes the hard rocking and melodic Portland sound. Their 1998 release, Boxcar Sky, is Deaf Jim Record's initial release, and it boasts such musically diverse guests as Chris Newman, Ellen Whyte and Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts. This longhaired power trio is tight and talented, heavy on the distortion but not heavy-handed--and they do a killer cover of Angel City's "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again."
